Corporate Affairs Ministry to work on a credit point system to promote inclusive growth
D.N.I.S. News Network, India: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is coming up with the concept of credit points to boost public-private partnership. This concept encourages corporates to work together with the government in promoting inclusive growth and in turn get credit points as incentives.
This will benefit corporates who have programmes on empowerment of people with disabilities, education, health, skill development, etc. under their Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.R.) wing. This step is seen as a plan to synergise the working of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Ministry of Minority Affairs, both headed by Salman Khursheed.
The incentive system will hopefully encourage corporates to consider disability issues more seriously.
