Orkids initiate workshop on learning disabilities

D.N.I.S. News Network, India: Delhi Learning Disabilities Association, under the aegis of Orkids kicked off a workshop on learning disabilities on November 21 in New Delhi. As a part of this workshop, a session called ‘Unravelling Learning Disabilities – Principles of Teaching – General Strategies and Techniques’ aimed at creating awareness about different aspects of learning difficulties among children and its ramifications was held.

The workshop is spread over eight months under the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Level. So far the basic level and two sessions of the intermediate level have been completed. The objective is to slowly work the way up to more advanced topics.

Participants in the workshop include persons with professional experience in special education, regular school teachers, psychologists, students and parents.
