D.U. to implement three per cent reservation for disabled teachers, students
D.N.I.S. News Network – Better late than never! Well,
Suddenly waking up from its slumber,
D.U. realised that at present, there are only 1,000
physically disabled students in D.U. and hardly any disabled teachers. It
is now trying to make amends, and has asked colleges to advertise department-wise
vacancies for teachers, in an effort to fulfill the reservation quota within
the faculty. As per reports, Dean of Colleges Shirin
Rathore has said, “The University has asked all
colleges to advertise the vacancies that they have department-wise so that
disabled teachers can apply. There have been cases where people have applied
and have been told that there is no space in the department for them.”
But there are colleges that have
already acted in a responsible manner, such as
