Job opportunity for the physically disabled

DNIS News Network - The Delhi government has given mobile PCOs to physically disabled people in the capital

The Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit presented mobile Public Call Offices (PCOs) to selected individuals from among 1,200 applicants. The applications were received by the Delhi Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes/Minorities/Handicapped Development Corporation.

With the help of Reliance Infocomm, the Corporation is handing out mobile PCOs and offering loans to people with disabilities, providing them with innovative and accessible job opportunities.

The mobile PCO comprises a hand-propelled rickshaw, PCO billing monitor and a fixed wireless terminal. "Our commitment to society is to provide opportunities to enable and empower the physically challenged to be self-reliant. The government of the National Capital territory of Delhi's vision, wedded with our wireless communications options, provide a platform for the same," said Sajive Kanwar, Head, PCO Operations of Reliance Infocomm.
