Seminar on incentives policy organised in Mumbai
DNIS News Network - After the Think Tank consultations in Chennai and Delhi, a seminar was organised in Mumbai, on November 28, to discuss the draft incentives policy for the public and private sector.The 30 delegates were welcomed by Deepika D'Souza, Executive Director, India Centre for Human Rights and Law (ICHRL). Then, Muthamma B. Devaya, ICHRL, and Rama Chari, NCPEDP, presented an 'Overview on the employment scenario of disabled people in India'.
It was then the turn of R.K. Gupta, Partner, Bansal Kumar and Associates, told the gathering about the existing incentives for the corporate sector in India. This was followed by a presentation by Chari on 'Employment policies for disabled people in the European Union countries'. During the ensuing Open Forum, there was a healthy debate on the contents of the incentive policy.
