D.U. to bring M.A. application fee for blind on par with S.C./S.T.s

D.N.I.S. News Network – There’s good news for blind candidates applying for the Delhi University (D.U.) M.A. programme, starting this year. The University is considering a cut in the M.A. application fee for blind students.

Dean Students’ Welfare has written to the Vice Chancellor requesting a waiver in deposit fee for the M.A. application form for blind students. At present, the application fee for students in the general category is Rs. 300, whereas the S.C./S.T.s pay only Rs. 100.

The proposal seeks to bring the application fee for the blind on par with that of the S.C./S.T.s. The Dean was reported as stating that the proposal is as good as passed, and that only a formal notification in this regard was awaited.
