Indian Sign Language Institute & Training Centre to be set up this year
D.N.I.S. News Network, India: An Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre will be set up very soon, announced Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Mukul Wasnik, at the inaugural session of the three-day National Conference on Deafblindness on January 20. Wasnik said that a lot of spade work has already been done in this regard and efforts are being made by his Ministry to set up the Sign Language Centre at the earliest.
The three-day conference was organized by Sense International (India) with the support of the four apex bodies of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
