Delhi University does away with medical board for disabled aspirants

D.N.I.S. News Network, India: In an effort that will make getting admission in Delhi University easier for students with disabilities, Delhi University has done away with the medical board that used to check the disability certificates and conducted medical check up of disabled aspirants.

Stating the reason for this move, J.M. Khurana, Dean, Studentsí Welfare said that this was done to reduce inconveniences. The University will accept disability certificates issued by the Government. In the event that the authorities have doubts, they will send the applicant for further tests. The disability certificates furnished will have to be issued not more than three years before the admission date.
